Building Compliance & IQP Testing

Fire Protection Compliance offers Independently Qualified Persons (IQP) Testing

FPC fire alarm technicians are Independently Qualified Persons (IQPs) who are accepted by the Territorial Authority (Council) as being appropriately qualified to undertake the inspection and maintenance of a buildings particular specified systems stated on a compliance schedule. An IQP must have a thorough knowledge of the Building Act 2004 and of other legal obligations under the Building Warrant of Fitness (BWoF) regime.  ‘Independent’ means that the person has no financial interest in the building.

Fire Protection Compliance offers Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)

New Zealand businesses are required by New Zealand Occupational Health and Safety (NZOHS) and electrical regulations to have their portable appliances routinely tested according to AS/NZ 3760 Standards. Our registered electricians can check your businesses appliances.  The check will involve visual and electrical tests with a portable appliance tester (PAT test equipment).  Each appliance will be tested, tagged, and dated to show that it is in good, safe working order. It’s important to ensure your business is tested and tagged to meet OHS and electrical regulations.
